GAA stars fill county cup with unusual drink at Offaly pub they once worked in
Two Tullamore GAA stars were pictured at the local pub they once worked in as they celebrated another county final victory at the weekend.
Dan and Mike Fox both used to work at the Brewery Tap pub in Tullamore but were the other side of the bar at the weekend as they celebrated another Dowling Cup victory in the Offaly Senior Football Championship final on Sunday.
Mike, Dan and their Tullamore teammates had one point to spare in a 0-15 to 0-14 win at Bord na Mona O'Connor Park on Sunday, so they had certainly earned a drink from their old employer.
The Brewery Tap shared a picture of the lads with the Dowling Cup which was apparently filled with a very unique drink during the celebrations.
While most would enjoy a tipple of Champagne or maybe Guinness from the treasured trophy, the Tullamore boys downed a few 'Tapple Dews' cocktails.
Tapple Dews is a unique cocktail of Tullamore Dew, cloudy apple juice, lime juice and ice.
The Tullamore celebration party is sure to continue long into this week after their famous win on Sunday.
