Hurling fans were once again left stunned by the skills of Offaly hurler Adam Screeney at the weekend.

There was much talk about the weather as Storm Ashley resulted in the postponement of some big GAA games around the country, but the Offaly final went ahead.

While the worst of the weather hit the west coast, it was still extremely windy in O'Connor Park but Kilcormac-Killoughey's star man was well able to deal with conditions.

He scored 0-10, including four frees, as Kilcormac-Killoughey ran out 0-16 to 1-11 winners over rivals Ballinamere on Sunday. One point in particular caught the attention of GAA fans nationwide.

The club from Clubber TV showed the Offaly U20 All-Ireland collect a crossfield ball from Jame Mahon just inside the 45 before scooping it up, turning Kevin McDermott and blasting the ball into the Storm Ashley winds to curl over the bar.

"Screeney judges the wind to perfection," Clubber's post read as fans raved about the young forward. "Some talent," one wrote, while a second replied, "he’s the most gifted natural hurler of this era."
