Right corner back: Declan Hogan (Tullamore)
Declan Hogan was once again very consistent in the Tullamore defence, leading by example and driving his team on. He scarcely put a foot wrong the whole year. Patrick Taaffe of Ferbane was a strong consideration. Jack Bryant tested Taaffe in their first round loss but he got better as it went on and performed well in the big games as well as raiding up field.
