Milestone for Anne Duffy at Mountlucas parkrun
Mountlucas windfarm parkrun – near Daingean – takes place very Saturday
CONGRATULATIONS to Anne Duffy who completed her 50th parkrun at Mountlucas parkrun this week.
Anne has been a regular at Mountlucas parkrun since she first started attending the weekly event in September 2023.
has been consistently improving her 5km time since she started, completing her first parkrun in 48:32, to her fastest parkrun this year in 31:50.
Speaking after achieving this milestone, Anne said: "I am delighted to have completed 50 parkruns in a little over a year. I turned 60 earlier this year and have enjoyed the challenge of trying to improve my 5km time over the weeks and months."
There was a wonderful celebratory atmosphere at the event. Janie Buckley also reached a significant milestone recently completing 150 parkruns, as well as Enda Scully who also recently completed 150 parkruns.
Parkrun is a free, weekly, timed 5km event which is open to walkers, joggers and runners. It is held at a number of locations across the country including Mountlucas windfarm in Co Offaly.
