Ballyboy Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann has a large and growing membership.

BALLYBOY Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann (CCÉ) is a vibrant community dedicated to preserving and promoting Ireland's rich cultural heritage. With a large and growing membership, Ballyboy CCÉ is a testament to the enduring appeal of traditional Irish music, song, dance, storytelling, and the Irish language.

The branch has a proud tradition of success in both local and national competitions. In recent years, they've achieved remarkable results at the Leinster Fleadh Cheoil, showcasing the exceptional talent of their young musicians. They are particularly proud of their two All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil winners in 2024; Fiadhna Leamy (Melodeon) and Grace Minnock (Whistle)

Ballyboy CCÉ offers a diverse range of activities for people of all ages and abilities. Their workshops, concerts, sessions, and classes provide opportunities to learn new skills, connect with like-minded individuals, and immerse yourself in the beauty of Irish culture.

Their experienced tutors offer lessons in a variety of traditional Irish instruments, including: Tin whistle, Concertina, Fiddle, Accordion, Banjo, Harp, Piano, Bodhrán, Céilí drums, Flute, Guitar, Mandolin.

They hold guided junior sessions on one Sunday each month to help young musicians develop their skills and confidence. They hold a seisiún cheoil for more advanced musicians, once a month (on Saturday night) and every Sunday night you can join Nora for set dancing. All takes place in Dan and Molly's, Ballyboy.

Mark your calendars for Friday November 22nd at 7pm as they present their annual concert at Kilcormac Community Centre, with performances from their talented junior musicians and All-Ireland winners. It's an event you won't want to miss!
