Town by town snow forecast for Offaly amid Met Éireann warnings and 20cm risk
Offaly's own weather forecaster has given a town by town snow forecast for the county amid a number of weather warnings for snow and ice on Wednesday and Thursday.
Met Éireann has issued a series of warnings with parts of Munster especially expected to see heavy snowfall overnight, but Offaly too is under a Status Yellow snow and ice warning overnight Wednesday and into Thursday.
Clare, Limerick, Cork, Tipperary, Galway and Waterford will all be under a Status Orange snow and ice warning on Thursday while lesser warnings are in place for other counties in the southern half of the country.
Those counties could see "significant snow accumulations," while a Status Yellow low temperature warning will be in effect for the entire country until noon on Thursday. Offaly too could see a lot of snow and Cathal Nolan has given us a breakdown of the areas in Offaly and how much snow they could wake up to on Thursday.

You can read his predictions below:
Edenderry
Edenderry's expected to see somewhere between 2cm and 5cm possibly be morning [Thursday]. The eastern areas of the county are probably less likely to see disruptive snow; that would be reserved for places further west.
Tullamore
Tullamore has the potential to see between 5cm and 7cm in the morning [Thursday], so again, some disruption is likely, especially around rush hour and untreated roads.
Clara
Similar to Tullamore, totals around Clara are 5cm to 7cm.
Kilcormac
Similar but a little bit more possibly in Kilcormac as it is that bit closer to the Slieve Blooms so anywhere between 5cm and 10cm.
Birr
Birr has the potential to be the worst-impacted town in Offaly. Here, we could see snowfall accumulations of 10cm to 15cm. That's the highest risk.
Shinrone/Moneygall
Farther down into the county in places like Shinrone and Moneygall, high chances of more significant snowfall there, up to 15cm possible.
Ferbane
Parts of Ferbane could see 5cm to 10cm.
Kinnitty
Some weather models show the potential for maybe up to 15cm or 20cm across the Slieve Bloom mountains, so plenty of disruption expected.
