Drama group in Offaly enjoy three years of laughter, community and theatre

SINCE forming in 2022, the Kinnitty Players have delighted audiences with their hilarious and heartwarming productions. Now in their third year, the group continues to bring joy and entertainment to the local community with their mission of creating memorable nights full of laughter and connection.

The Players debuted with Separate Beds in 2022, followed by the success of Through the Chair last year. This year, they are thrilled to present the comedy Widows' Paradise by Sam Cree, a play packed with humour, romance, and unexpected twists that are sure to leave audiences in stitches.

About Widows' Paradise
Directed by the talented Paul Spencer, Widows’ Paradise tells the story of an unforgettable weekend in a caravan that brings together a cast of colourful characters, each with their own quirks and surprises:

• Ciaran Byrne as Alan, a young man searching for love.

• Lorraine Scully as Sylvia, a woman on a getaway with her mother who unexpectedly meets the man of her dreams.

• Donie Spain as John McGonigle, a mischievous farmer and caravan site owner with 12 kids.

• Eilish Fay as Vanessa, an elitist always on the hunt for a man with deep pockets.

• Lisa Dooley as Rachael, a reserved woman who may be ready to embrace life and love.

• John Spain as Willie McNeily, a timid man hoping for a second chance at romance.

• Louise Makim as Lucy, a woman whose luck in love may finally turn around.

• John Joe Hartnett as Ernie, an honest man who may find love at first sight.

• Kevin Byrne as Harry, a widower reconsidering love after an unexpected encounter.

• Therese O’Carroll as Ruby, a fiercely protective widow who might just find herself ensnared by love’s surprises.

The Kinnitty Players are thrilled to present this wonderful cast and story over three nights:
Thursday, December 5th, Saturday, December 7th, and Sunday, December 8th at the Kinnitty Community Centre. (No Friday performance due to Toy Show)
