THE Kinnitty Players brought the house down over three nights in early December with their hilarious production of Sam Cree’s 'Widows' Paradise'. Packed with laughter, drama, and incredible performances, the play was a resounding success, leaving audiences thoroughly entertained.

The stellar cast included Kevin Byrne as Harry, Therese O'Carroll as Ruby, Johnjoe Hartnett as Ernie, Louise Makim as Lucy, Lorraine Scully as Sylvia, Ciaran Byrne as Alan, John Spain as Willie, Eilish Fay as Vanessa, Lisa Dooley as Rachel, and Donie Spain as John McGonigle. Their performances captivated audiences, delivering laugh-out-loud moments and unforgettable scenes. A special shout out goes to their director, Paul Spencer, whose vision and dedication brought the play to life.

Behind the scenes, the production was supported by an exceptional team. Special thanks to the stage crew, lighting, prompt, backstage, set builders and designers, ticket sellers, door staff, shop staff, Kinnitty Community Centre, and everyone else who worked tirelessly to make the show a success. The guidance of their amazing MCs, who took turns hosting each night— Majella Bergin and local TDs John Clendennen and Carol Nolan, who each added an extra sparkle to the event.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to the audiences who joined them, sharing in the laughter and craic, and to their incredibly generous sponsors for their continued support. The community spirit and enthusiasm from everyone involved made this production truly special. With some fantastic photos to capture the magic of the performances, 'Widows' Paradise' will be a cherished memory for all involved. Thank you, Kinnitty, for your unwavering support. They look forward to entertaining you again in 2025!
