Gardai appeal for witnesses or dash cam footage following serious crash on the N62
The driver of a car involved in a collision on the Roscrea – Templemore road on Wednesday was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and Gardaí are appealing to the public for help with their investigation.
The incident happened on the N62 around 10.30pm on Wednesday night, when a pedestrian in his 40s received serious injuries and was taken to University Hospital Limerick.
Investigations into the crash at Gortnagowna required the closure of the road for a lengthy period, with traffic redirected through Clonakenny and Dunkerrin.
Gardaí are keen to speak with anyone who may have been travelling the route on Wednesday night and particularly any motorists who may have a dashcam fitted to their car.
Investigating Gardaí can be reached at Thurles Garda Station on (0504) 25100.
