'A kind-hearted, gentle soul' - Huge sadness after sad death of beloved Offaly doctor

Tributes have been paid to a popular former Offaly doctor following his passing

Dr Parshuram Mishra and his late wife Dr Chandra Mishra, who passed away in August 2023, shared a successful practice on the Carrick Road in Edenderry for many years. 

Parshuram is predeceased by his beloved wife Chandra and their son Amit. He is survived by his son Atul, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Announcing the news in a social media post, the Edenderry Facebook page said: “Just to let the people of Edenderry & surrounding areas know that Dr Parshuram Mishra, who practised for many years in Edenderry has passed away peacefully in Glasgow.

“Now reunited with his late wife Dr Chandra Mishra & son Amit.  A very kind, generous man, may he Rest in Peace.”

Many have taken to the comments section to share their fond memories and condolences with Parshuram’s family. 

One mourner wrote: “He was a very compassionate man. As was his lovely wife. Deepest condolences to his son and family. Thank you both for your kind and gentle support of our community.”

Sharing the news of Parshuram's death alongside a photo, Linda Mallen posted: "Dr Parshuram Mishra has passed away peacefully. He is now reunited with his wife/soul mate Dr Chandra Mishra & son Amit, thanks for all the memories, fly high."

Another tribute read: “So sorry to hear this. A kind-hearted, gentle soul. May he rest in Peace.”

While a third tribute said: “Dr Mishra was a gentleman so kind and caring. May his gentle soul rest in peace.”
