Bands from Clara, Mullingar and Athlone to take part in colourful spectacle in Tullamore
A NUMBER of major bands have been confirmed for the Tullamore St. Patrick's Day Parade and the committee are following up on others.
Mullingar Town Band, Athlone Pipe Band and Clara Town Band have already confirmed and the committee hope that the Army Band from Athlone will also attend.
The parade takes place on Monday, March 17, starting at 11.30am, from the car park of the Bridge Centre.
Entertainment at the Review Stand on Colmcille St. starts at 10.30am. where the Tullamore Comhaltas will perform in the lead up to the official cutting of the ribbon.
Come early to enjoy this entertainment and there will be a seated area opposite the Review Stand for elderly and wheelchair users.
Letters of invitation have been sent to many organisations and we encourage all groups to make their preparations early.

They have also sent letters to local businesses seeking financial support and are very grateful to all businesses who generously support us every year and without their support we could not run the parade.
The parade brings huge crowds to the town on the day and the committee are glad that they support many businesses locally.
The theme this year is "Celebrating Culture And Heritage" and the organisers look forward to the many groups in the parade including this theme in their entry.
