Green light for new tourist accommodation in Offaly
Offaly County Council has given the green light for new tourist accommodation in the county.
A new tourism accommodation development is set for Shannonbridge, as planning permission has been granted for the conversion of a Main Street residential dwelling into a five-bedroom short-term stay facility.
The approved plans include transforming the existing residence into a tourist accommodation building, complete with common areas, ancillary facilities, a bike storage area, and onsite car parking to the rear.
Additionally, the project will see the demolition of a single-storey rear extension, adjustments to windows and door openings, and the construction of a two-storey extension to the rear. Other upgrades include the installation of roof lights, new signage, and improvements to property boundaries.
