Offaly GAA are now recruiting for young referees across the county to referee Go Games matches and the Shane Lowry League matches.
In a video posted on X (formerly twitter) All Ireland referee Brian Gavin has called on those interested to apply saying, "this is a great starting point".
Gavin goes on to say there is a tremendous need for referees in the county after 2024 saw an incredible 3000 matches between underage, ladies and league matches.

The post reads,
"Referee Recruitment Drive. Offaly GAA is actively recruiting referees aged 16-24 to commence their careers by refereeing Go Games matches and the Shane Lowry League matches.
"To maintain and improve hurling and football standards, we need more referees to officiate at all levels. New recruits will receive full referee kits and go through a dedicated coaching programme to develop their skills. This is a great opportunity to stay involved in the game, gain experience, and support the future of Offaly GAA.
