The Health Service Executive is in the process of seeking tenders from qualified individuals and companies to install solar panels on the Midland's Regional Hospital in Tullamore (Old Hospital, Health Centre, Scott Building).

The contract will include all works relating to the design, installation and commission of 300kWp roof mounted solar PV systems.

The duration of the contract is 15 months. The estimated value of the contract excluding vat is €425,000. The deadline for the receipt of applications is April, 2025.

It's understood that 300kw is typically enough to provide the absolute peak power requirements for 25 standard homes at 12kVA per home.
