Bench warrant for teenager who allegedly spun wheels of vehicle in Offaly village
A bench warrant was issued for a man who is alleged to have attempted to spin his wheels in Killeigh village.
Evan McMorrow (19) of Clonfad, Oldtown, Athlone failed to appear at last week's district court on a summons for driving without reasonable care.
In his evidence to the court Garda Patrick McGee said that on September 18, 2024, he stopped an Audi being driven by Mr McMorrow. It's alleged that Mr McMorrow didn't have a driving licence, insurance, or NCT.
He elected to produce the document at a garda station but failed to do so. It was also alleged in court that Mr McMorrow had 'an attitude' and had said 'it wasn't his fault'.
He had 15 previous convictions and had been disqualified from driving in July 2023.
