A busy street in Birr is to close for up to three weeks for street enhancement works.
Offaly County Council has announced that William Street in Birr is to close for up to three weeks from Monday, May 12.
It says that is it is anticipated that the road will be closed to vehicles from the Marian Hall to Purcell Auctioneers. The road will be open at the weekends and pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Offaly County Council says that the road closure is necessary to facilitate street enhancement works.
A diversion route will be in place while the works are ongoing.
Offaly County Council says it regrets any inconvenience to road users.
