ACCESSIBLE Counselling (ACT) is calling on all local golfers to join them at Esker Hills Golf Club on Friday, May 30 next for the Golf 4 ACT Classic.
Running from 7am to 5pm, the 4 Ball Scramble offers a full day of great golf and community spirit, with all proceeds going directly towards ACT’s mission of providing accessible, timely and affordable counselling to those over 16 in need of support.
ACT was founded in January 2020 by the late James O’Connor, a passionate advocate for mental wellbeing and local businessman.
Since then, the centre has grown into a vital community resource, having offered over 14,000 counselling sessions to more than 2,600 clients through a team of fully qualified IACP / AHIP counsellors.
This year’s Golf 4 ACT Classic features several ways to get involved:
• €500 – Sponsorship Packages
• €200 – Entry Fee (Team of 4)
• €200 – Nearest the Pin & Longest Drive Sponsor (Ladies & Gents)
• €100 – Green Fee Sponsorship
• €50 – Tee Box Sponsorship

“This event is more than just a round of golf,” said Martin Buggy, Chairperson of the Golf 4 ACT Committee.
“It’s about bringing people together to support an essential service in our community. Every team entered, and every sponsorship raised, helps ACT continue to be there for someone in need of help.”
ACT is calling on local individuals, businesses and golf lovers to lend their support—whether by playing, sponsoring, or donating. Every euro raised helps ACT continue providing essential counselling services to the community.
