Offaly students visit Leinster House and other Dublin landmarks

STUDENTS from the 2024 and the 2025 Student Council at Colaiste Naomh Cormac in Kilcormac travelled to Dublin last Thursday for a memorable educational visit.

They were warmly welcomed at Leinster House by local TD Tony McCormack, who provided a guided tour of the historic building.

As part of the experience, the students had the unique opportunity to sit in on Dáil Éireann proceedings, observing Justice Minister Jim O’Callaghan respond to parliamentary questions—an invaluable insight into the workings of national government.

Following their time at Leinster House, the group explored the National Museum of Ireland – Archaeology, before finishing their trip with a visit to the iconic Trinity College.

The day was both informative and enjoyable, leaving students with a deeper appreciation for Irish heritage and civic life.
