As part of biodiversity week the founding Principal of Coolderry Central School visited the school to talk about biodiversity and to present to each 6th class pupil a potted tree or plant.
Famed author, historian and bibliophile, George Cunningham, who also runs the Dimma's Bookstore in the Vincent's SVP shop in Roscrea, also presented each pupil with a copy of the Crann magazine and his famous book Burren Journey which has been translated into multiple languages and is widely considered the definitive book to accompany one on a trip to the karst landscape of the Burren.
George also presented and planted a standard willow tree in honour of 6th class.
