OFFALY Fianna Fail TD Tony McCormack recently visited the Darmagh Centre in Tullamore, where he met with members of the Tullamore/Clara Advocacy Group, part of the Muiríosa Foundation Day Services.

The visit created a space for open and honest discussion on real issues affecting people with intellectual disabilities and autism.

Topics such as funding shortages, long waiting lists, and local service challenges were raised. Deputy McCormack listened carefully to the concerns and committed to taking action. He promised to liaise directly with the local council to push for meaningful improvements and address the challenges highlighted.

“I will gladly advocate on your behalf in Government and ensure your concerns are heard at the highest level,” he said.

The Advocacy Group welcomed his engagement and look forward to seeing these discussions lead to real progress.
