With the recent spell of good weather, Roscrea Trail Blazers had some great evenings for walking lately.

Last Thursday they had a well-attended walk on The Silver River Eco Trail at Cadamstown in The Sleive Blooms.

The group enjoyed a great sunset over the boglands of Offaly. Well done to all who made the effort.

They have a packed 2025 ahead with several trips overseas and a lot of challenge walks over the coming months.

Their walk this Thursday night June 26th sees the club heading to do a reci for their charity walk in aid of The Offaly branch of Down Syndrome Ireland, this Saturday June 28th, at The Lough Boora Parklands Loop, Distance 9.5km, Grade Easy/Moderate, Time two hours. Meeting at The Lough Boora Parklands carpark at 7.30pm.

Well done to club members who completed The Tom Crean Endurance walk last Saturday, starting at the foot of Brandon Mountain outside Dingle and finishing 30km later at The South Pole Inn at Annascaul village.

On Saturday June 28th the group have their annual fundraiser walk and this year it is in aid of The Offaly Branch of Down Syndrome, with two short walks on offer at Lough Boora Parklands, a 9km and 5km Fairy walk. Please contact the number below for more details.

They would encourage anyone thinking of taking up hiking for better health or as a way to destress to please make contact with the number below.
