Sinead Ní Cheilleachair
A TALENTED young Offaly golfer has been awarded a scholarship in a US college. A member of Tullamore Golf Club, Sinead Ní Cheilleachair is currently pursuing a degree in Accountancy at Colorado State University Pueblo.
A former student at Killina Presentation Secondary School, Sinead started there last Autumn - her days are structured and focused: mornings begin with training in the gym, followed by academic classes and team practices under the guidance of collegiate coaches.
As a dedicated member of the university’s golf team, Sinead competes in collegiate stroke-play tournaments across the United States. To date, she has travelled to states such as California and Arizona, with upcoming competitions scheduled in Hawaii later this year. She consistently works to enhance her performance, supported by a comprehensive athletic development team, including physiotherapists and trainers.

Sinead lives in college-provided accommodation, sharing a house with three other student-athletes—a fellow golfer from England and two swimmers. This high-performance and supportive living environment enables her to maintain a strong balance between her academic and athletic commitments.
