Clubs all set for start of Offaly Intermediate Football Championship

Joe Maher, regraded to intermediate for Ferbane

THE Tullamore Court Hotel Intermediate Football Championship will finally get underway this weekend with four games down for decision.

Kilcormac-Killoughey, Tullamore, Walsh Island and St Rynagh's are in group 1 with Ferbane, St Brigid's, Raheen and Edenderry in group 2.

The top team in each group goes into the semi-final with second and third meeting in quarter-finals and the bottom team going into a relegation play off.

St Brigid's are very slight favourites but Tullamore, Ferbane and Raheen all have very good prospects while Walsh Island should be capable of getting into the mix. The early games will give a better indication of the health of each competitor.
