Drumcullen, hoping to book a knockout place in the IHC
THERE is crucial games in the second round of the Molloy Precast and Environmental Systems Intermediate Hurling Championship next weekend.
With the first round completed, Birr and St Rynagh's have two points in group 1 while Belmont and Seir Kieran are pointless.
Two of the main contenders, Shamrocks and Drumcullen got wins in the first round in group 2, beating Ballinamere and Shinrone, respectively.
The top team in both group goes into the semi-finals with second and third criss-crossing in two quarter-finals.
Round 2 fixtures are:
Group 1
St Rynagh's v Birr: Thursday, August 7 in Banagher 7.15pm
Verdict – Birr.
Seir Kieran v Belmont: Thursday, August 7 in Clareen 7.15pm
