HUSBAND and wife duo Emily and Neil Farrell reached a milestone at this week’s Mountlucas parkrun, as both completed their 25th event. The pair were also in celebratory form having marked their 11th wedding anniversary the previous day.

Speaking after the run, Neil said: “Emily and I started parkrun together last year and it has become an enjoyable part of our weekend.”

Neil, who recently began training for Hyrox, a fitness competition combining running and functional workout stations, added:

“Parkrun is a great complementary activity because it really helps with the running elements of the workout.”

A huge well done to Neil and Emily from all at Mountlucas parkrun. There were some other milestones celebrated recently at the event. Eugene McCabe completed his 100th parkrun, and was joined on the day by his brother Stephen. Olive McCarthy travelled all the way from Cork to complete her 350th parkrun at Mountlucas parkrun recently. Another milestone marked was parkrun 150 for Kevin Curran. Well done Eugene, Olive and Kevin.
