A Status Yellow Wind Warning has been issued for Kerry, Clare and Galway from 9pm on Sunday until 6am on Monday,

Met Éireann is warning that strong and gusty westerly winds will hit the counties which could lead to difficult travelling conditions and debris and loose objects could be displaced

The Met Éireann weather forecast for Ireland for Sunday says that the weather will become wet and blustery in the morning with rain spreading northeastwards, heavy at times with fresh southeasterly winds developing. The rain will clear eastwards in the afternoon, followed by sunny spells and showers, some heavy. Winds will veer southwesterly behind the rain, and increase strong in west and southwest coastal counties. Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees.

Sunday night will be windy with strong and gusty westerly winds and gales on Atlantic coasts. Widespread showers will continue with longer spells of rain in the west and northwest, heavy at times. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees.

According to the latest Met Éireann weather forecast, Monday will start windy with strong and gusty westerly winds and widespread showers, heavy at times in the north and northwest with spot flooding possible. The showers will ease during the evening. Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees.
