THE draws and fixtures for the semi-finals of the Molloy Precast and Environmental Systems Senior Hurling Championship were made after Shinrone's breathtaking come from behind win over Coolderry in Birr on Sunday evening.
The group winners, Belmont and Birr were kept apart in the semi-finals and Shinrone's reward is a match up with Belmont while Birr meet holders and favourites Kilcormac-Killoughey – K-K were brilliant in their demolition of Ballinamere on Saturday in Tullamore.
The Senior “B” and Intermediate Hurling Championships are down to the final stages with Lusmagh meeting Carrig-Riverstown in senior B while Birr and Drumcullen will clash in the intermediate.
In the Junior Hurling Championship semi-finals, Brosna Gaels have been drawn against Edenderry while Ballyskenach-Killavilla face Tullamore.
All of these games will take place on an action packed weekend on October 4-5. The fixtures were unveiled by the Competitions Control Committee on Sunday evening.
O'Connor Park in Tullamore will host the SHC semi-final between Kilcormac-Killoughey and Birr on Saturday, October 4 at 4.30pm with the junior hurling semi-final between Brosna Gaels and Edenderry preceding it at 2.45pm. The other junior hurling semi-final between Tullamore and Ballyskenach-Killavilla is in Kinnitty that day at 2pm.

St Brendan's Park in Birr will host an attractive double bill on Sunday, October 5. The SHC semi final between Shinrone and Belmont is at 4.40pm with the SHC “B” final between Carrig-Riverstown and Lusmagh on before it at 2.30pm. The IHC final between Birr and Drumcullen is in Banagher at 12 noon.
