Tullamore Harriers' athletes in action from Berlin to south Tipp

Athlone AC Half Marathon.

Well done to Jonathan Dunne, who produced a fine run at the Athlone Athletics Club Half Marathon on Sunday, 21st September. Jonathan clocked 1:18 finishing in 6th place overall. Sara McLaughlin also represented the club, with a finish of 2.00.31.

The race, which starts and finishes on the TUS Athlone Campus running track, takes in the scenic Athlone to Mullingar Greenway.

Victory on the day went to Mick Fogarty (Ferbane AC) in a time of 1:12.

Berlin Marathon

Eoin Brennan put himself to the test as he lined out for his fifth marathon of the year at the Berlin Marathon on Sunday 21st of September.

Joining over 50,000 runners in the German capital, Eoin produced another strong performance, crossing the finish line in an impressive 3 hours 08 minutes.

Dublin Half Marathon
Olivia Weldon was our sole representative at the Dublin Half Marathon, the third race in the Irish Life Dublin Race Series 2025 (which concludes with the Dublin Marathon).
Olivia put in a strong performance, finishing in 2:08:55 - a nice preparation for the Dublin Marathon for Olivia.

The race was won by Jake O’Regan, who also claimed victory at our own BnM Tullamore Harriers Half Marathon just three weeks ago. The first lady home was Caitlyn Harvey, who also stood on the podium in Tullamore where she finished second overall.

The 2 Johnnies South Tipperary Women’s 8K Mini Marathon

Melissa Hogan proudly represented the club at the 2 Johnnies South Tipperary Women’s 8K Mini Marathon on Saturday, 20th September.

Offaly Cross Country Championships


Tullamore Harriers AC will host this year’s Offaly Cross-Country Championships, taking place across four dates in the Faithful Fields, Kilcormac.

Championship Dates
Day 1 – Sunday, October 5th
Offaly Novice, Junior & Juvenile Relay Championships
Day 2 – Sunday, October 12th
Offaly Masters & Juvenile Even Ages Championships
Day 3 – Sunday, November 2nd
Offaly Intermediate & Juvenile Uneven Ages Championships
Day 4 – Sunday, November 30th
Offaly Senior Championships
The Offaly Championships are scheduled to complement both the Leinster and National Cross Country Championships, giving athletes valuable race practice:
National Senior & Juvenile Even Ages – October 19th
Leinster Novice & Even Ages – October 25th
Leinster Senior & Uneven Ages – November 8th
National Novice & Uneven Ages – November 23rd
We look forward to welcoming athletes from all clubs and to another exciting cross country season in Offaly.

Sunday 5th October – Offaly Novice and Juvenile Relays Cross Country @ The Faithful Fields, Kilcormac.

Sunday 12th October – Offaly Masters and Juvenile Uneven Ages Cross Country @ The Faithful Fields, Kilcormac.

Tuesday 14th October – Club League Round 8 – Paddy Larkin 3K @7pm. **Followed by annual club Mass**

Sunday 19th October - Autumn Open & National Juvenile Club Relays @Sport Ireland Campus, Dublin

Saturday 25th October – Leinster Novice, U20 & Juvenile Even Ages @Gowran, Co Kilkenny

Condolences

The Chairman, Committee, and members of the club wish to extend their heartfelt condolences to the Quirke and Maher families on the passing of Jim Quirke.

Deepest sympathies are also extended to the Browne family on the passing of Patrick Browne.

May they both rest in peace.
