Offaly students make special trip to launch school's 50th Anniversary Celebrations

To mark the launch of their school's 50th Anniversary celebrations, the students of an Offaly National School made a very special trip.

To launch Shinrone National School’s 50th Anniversary Celebrations, pupils from the whole school climbed to the top of Knockshegowna Hill on Tuesday, September 23.

Joe Cleary shared the Legend of Knockshegowna. The children enjoyed a picnic and the views as part of the special launch event.

The school will mark their 50th anniversary and the amalgamation with the Pike NS on November 15. They would love to see past pupils and teachers of both schools and all members of the community join them on the day.
