The late Ita O'Reilly who died on September 30

There was deep sadness expressed at the passing of Ita Stafford O'Reilly of Park Avenue, in Tullamore.

Ita died in St Carthage nursing home in Mucklagh.

She worked for many years in the offices of Kilroys and many will remember her in the television rental department.

Known as a kind and gentle lady, Ita was born in Drimnagh, Dublin. She attended St Louis School for girls and was a great student, Fr Damian Budău told the congregation at her funeral mass on Tuesday morning.

After leaving school she worked in the car industry. She was married to Liam O'Reilly for over 50 years, Fr Budău said. They have a son Stephen and daughter Leslie along with grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was a lady of strong faith who loved nature and attending to her flowers. She also enjoyed cooking for her family.

Ita had been ill for some time and for the past year had been in the care of St Carthage nursing home. She passed away on September 30.

Ita will be sadly missed by her loving husband Liam, daughter Leslie Adams, son Stephen, son in law Nicholas, daughter in law Jennifer, grandchildren Scott O'Reilly, Jacob O'Reilly, Declan Adams, Conor Adams (Julia), great grandchild Willow Grace Adams, extended family, relatives and friends.
