Cop that! - Offaly gardai speed to victory in prestigious Memorial Tournament
Gardai from the Laois/Offaly Division were celebrating last week after bringing home silverware from the Liam Kearns Memorial Tournament.
The tournament is in memory of Liam Kearns who died suddenly in March 2023 when he was the Offaly Senior Football manager.
In a post on social media, Laois Offaly gardai congratulated the team on a great achievement saying it was a testament to the teamwork, commitment and pride in the Division.
It added, "well done also to Inspector Paddy Guinan for leading the charge and getting the team back together this year. (Are they bananas you're wearing on the feet?)"
Among the comments congratulating the team on the social media post was one cracker that pointed out that 'the banana boots are Size Fyffe'.
