Shane Lowry is one shot off the lead going into weekend at the DP World India Championship.

After shooting an eight under par opening round which included a spectacular run of five birdies in a row, he followed up with a three under par round at Delhi Golf Club on Friday.

That leaves him just one shot behind his Ryder Cup team-mate and good friend Tommy Fleetwood. The English golfer followed up a three under par round on Thursday with a nine under par round on Friday to lead on 12 under par.

Also on 11 under par beside Shane Lowry is Brian Harman with Keita Nakajima one shot further back on 10 under par.

Rory McIlroy is currently in a tie for 17th on six under par alongside another Ryder Cup star, Viktor Hovland.

Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald is one shot further back on five under par after two rounds.
