Bottle of Paddy whiskey in the car stopped by Gardaí.
A driver was arrested in the Midlands after being found "very drunk" with a bottle of Paddy Irish whiskey next to them.
Laois Garda Roads Policing Unit stopped a driver on Wednesday, October 15, following up on an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) Alert.
They have reported that there was a bottle of Paddy whiskey "riding shotgun" as a "front seat passenger".
The driver of a Red Kia Ceed was found to be out of Motor Tax by 255 days.
The driver failed an on-the-spot alcohol test. They were arrested and charged, and the car was seized.
Laois Gardaí add that Paddy was "escorted to the evidence locker".
