Road closures announced to facilitate 'Annual Christmas Experience' in Offaly

Road closures have been announced to facilitate the 'Annual Christmas Experience' in Birr at the end of November.

The annual event will take place at The Green, Birr on Saturday, November 29.

Offaly County Council says it is anticipated that this road will be closed to vehicular traffic from Emmet Square to Marian Hall car park entrance, on Saturday, November 29 from 8am to 10pm.

Local access to households and properties along the affected section of road will be maintained at all times under temporary traffic management arrangements.

This road closure is necessary to facilitate the Annual Christmas Experience event on The Green which will take place between 2pm and 6pm.

The Annual Christmas Experience is a family fun day out where Santa can be visited in his Grotto, and several activities are available such as Face Painting; Magician’s Show; Santa’s Train; Music; Snow Machine; Merry-go-rounds; and Christmas Stalls.
