Louth road remains closed after serious accident
A woman in her 80s and a man in his 40s killed in separate accidents in Tipperary overnight.
A woman in her 80s was killed in a single-vehicle accident in Toomevara and a man in his 40s was killed in a single vehicle accident in Birdhill.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Toomevara, Nenagh, Tipperary on November 9.
The single-vehicle collision occurred sometime between 12 midnight and 2.20am this morning Sunday, November 9.
The sole occupant of the car, a woman in her 80s, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Coroner was notified and the deceased has been removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Limerick, where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
The road remains closed at the scene, which is preserved pending a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Traffic diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were traveling in the area between 12 midnight and 2.30am are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
