Offaly Darts had a fantastic weekend at the Killarney Festival of Darts, held in the Gleneagle Hotel from November 6th to 9th, 2025.
Thursday – Team Event
Two Offaly teams took to the floor in the opening team event.
Offaly 1 — Pat Barrett, Colm Ryan, Willie McKenna, Mark Griffin, and Brian Fletcher Sr made it out of the group stages but were unfortunately knocked out in the next round.
Offaly 2 — Stephen Rosney, Ronan McDonagh, Trevor English, Brian Fletcher Jr, and Dylan Slevin were the stars of the show, winning the tournament! They topped their group and went on to defeat several strong teams along the way. A massive congratulations to this outstanding team — the talent between these five players is incredible!
Friday – Irish Open Pairs & Irish Open
Friday afternoon saw the Irish Open Pairs event. Both Ronan McDonagh and Stephen Rosney, along with their partners, made it to the Last 16, while Colm Ryan and Brian Fletcher Jr reached the last 32.
In the evening came the Irish Open Singles, which saw an incredible 764 players compete. Stephen impressed once again, making it all the way to the Last 32, narrowly losing out 4–3 in a tight match.
Saturday – Irish Classic
Saturday’s Irish Classic featured 627 entries. Both Ronan and Stephen continued their fine form, meeting each other in the semi-final in an All-Offaly clash! Ronan came out on top with a close 4–3 victory after a fantastic, high-quality game between the two pals.
Ronan then took to the big stage for the Irish Classic Final, but was unlucky to lose out to Mitchell Lawrie after a great performance.
Sunday – Irish Open
On the final day, Stephen capped off a brilliant weekend by reaching the Last 8 of the Irish Open, eventually losing to Ross Montgomery.
A mighty weekend overall for Ronan McDonagh and Stephen Rosney who were among the standout performers of the entire festival.
Offaly Darts is in a very strong place!
