Offaly group to hold another climate café event this month

Climate and Biodiversity Action Group to host event in old bank building in Clara

CLARA

OFFALY Climate and Biodiversity Action Group will be holding another 'climate café' on Tuesday November 25th, at 7:30pm, in The Old Bank Building, Clara. The first event was well-attended in Tullamore in August. This climate café is being organised in collaboration with Clara Heritage Society and Clara Tidy Towns.

The climate café is free to attend and "will be a relaxed and inclusive space" where people can have a chat over a cup of tea.

"The conversations will be wide-ranging. A positive focus will be placed on what we can do to get involved in climate action locally," said the group.

"We can all take action individually, but together we can achieve and inspire more collective climate action."

Recently 14 members of the group joined Tullamore Tidy Towns to help with their ongoing bulb planting project. There was great work done by the members of both groups to make Clonminch more colourful and help provide early food for pollinators in spring.

Throughout 2026 the Offaly Climate and Biodiversity Action Group look forward to holding more events about the county. The group plans to organise events independently and through collaborating with groups to promote nature and sustainability.

Offaly Climate and Biodiversity Action Group are calling on all nature enthusiasts and people who wish to promote climate action to get involved by finding them on Facebook or contacting them at offalyclimateandbio@outlook.com.
