CLONMACNOISE Monastery has been revealed as the most Instagrammed location in Offaly, according to new research.
The study, carried out by Virgin Media Ireland, analysed the number of tagged Instagram posts across the county’s most visited sights and attractions. The analysis used the total number of posts to determine the destinations that are most popular with social-media-sharing visitors.
Clonmacnoise Monastery claimed the number one spot with 16,656 tagged Instagram posts, securing its position as the county’s most photographed landmark.
Known for its rich history and stunning architecture, the attraction continues to draw visitors eager to capture the perfect photo.
Other spots analysed included Birr Castle, with 11,898 posts, while Lough Boora secured third place thanks to 8,173 posts. Following that was Charleville Castle and Leap Castle, both long-standing favourites with tourists and locals alike.
