Dóchas Offaly Cancer Support Group were delighted to receive a total of €4,140 from a recent fundraising initiative led by Orla Matthews, CEO of Rexel Ireland (Kellihers Electrical).
The presentation took place in Dublin last week, where John Conroy (Manager of Dóchas Offaly Cancer Support Group) and Mary Guinan (Board of Directors Dóchas Offaly Cancer Support Group) were warmly welcomed by Orla and her team.
In September 2025, Orla undertook a skydive at the Irish Parachute Club in Clonbullogue, Co. Offaly, raising vital funds in support of cancer care services.
John and Mary were honoured to be present on the morning of the jump, meeting Orla, her family, and supporters.
It was an uplifting day, filled with excitement and community spirit as there were many people in attendance raising vital funds for many charities.
As part of the fundraiser, Orla invited Rexel staff to nominate charities that would benefit from the proceeds. Dóchas was put forward by Diana Ursul Healy, a former client of the service, who spoke passionately during the cheque presentation about the impact Dóchas had on her life.

Diana shared her personal experience with great warmth and conviction, highlighting the importance of accessible, compassionate support services for those affected by cancer. Her heartfelt endorsement deeply moved those in attendance.
Orla raised an impressive €4,140 through her skydive, which was generously matched by Rexel Ireland, bringing the total funds raised to €8,280.
The proceeds were shared between Dóchas Offaly Cancer Support Group and the Friends of St. Luke’s Foundation, another organisation providing invaluable care to cancer patients.
“We are extremely grateful to Orla, Diana, and everyone in Rexel and Kellihers Electrical for this remarkable support,” said John. “These funds will make a meaningful difference to the individuals and families who rely on our services during some of the most challenging moments of their lives.”
Dóchas Offaly Cancer Support Group extends its sincere thanks to Orla, her generous supporters, and the entire Rexel team for choosing to make such a positive impact on the lives of people living with cancer in the local community.
