Fixture details released for Offaly O'Byrne Cup quarter-final

THE fixture details have been announced for Offaly senior footballers' O'Byrne Cup quarter-final with Meath.

It will take place in Kilcormac's Faithful Fields on Wednesday with a 7.30pm throw in. The winners will play Westmeath or Louth in the semi-final on Saturday.

Offaly staged a fine late rally to beat Carlow by 3-14 to 3-9 in Carlow on Saturday, with a number of players showing up well.

Meanwhile, a toss will decide the outcome following the cancellation of Sunday's Walsh Cup senior hurling tie between Offaly and Antrim because of frost in O'Connor Park.
