ALERT: Further weather warnings issued by Met Eireann as freezing temperatures to continue

Further weather warnings have been issued by Met Eireann as freezing temperatures are set to continue tonight with more snow in places. 

Met Eireann has issued Weather Warnings covering all of Ireland with treacherous driving conditions forecast across the country. 

Met Eireann has issued a Status Yellow Low Temperature/Ice warning for Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, Munster, Galway, and Roscommon. Met Éireann is warning of temperatures falling to between -1 and -3 degrees generally with sharp frost and icy stretches. Met Eireann says black ice is likely too. The warning is valid from 11am on Monday until 9am on Tuesday.

A Status Yellow Snow-Ice warning has been issued for Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo with Met Éireann warning that there will be wintry showers with sleet and some snow accumulations. There will also be sharp frost and ice also leading to hazardous travel conditions and poor visibility. This warning is valid from 11am on Monday until 9am on Tuesday.
