Electric Picnic 2025
People leaving the Electric Picnic were shouted at by an aggressive intoxicated man, a sitting of Portlaoise District Court was told.
Martynas Jurkaitis (30) of Fivealley Inn, Fivealley, Birr, Co Offaly, was convicted of being intoxicated and engaging in threatening and abusive behaviour at Cork Road, Stradbally on September 1, 2025.
Garda John Fallon told a sitting of Portlaoise District Court that a report had been made of a male shouting at people leaving the Electric Picnic at 2pm on the date in question.
“He was extremely intoxicated and acting in an aggressive manner,” he said. The court was told the man had 68 previous convictions.
Judge Andrew Cody fined the man €400 for public intoxication and €400 for engaging in threatening and abusive behaviour and gave him six months to pay the fines.
