AN Offaly darts player has earned a two year playing qualification for the PDC (Professional Darts Corporation).

Nenagh man, Stephen Rosney who has competed at amateur level for the Offaly darts team and in the Offaly darts competitions, successfully came through qualifying school after winning enough points in four days of qualifying at Milton Keynes in England.

He was the third Irish man to qualify during the process. Rosney has captained the Irish darts team and Offaly Darts are thrilled to see one of their members qualify to throw professionally.

Another Offaly player, Ronan McDonagh also showed his quality as he bid to qualify. A Ferbane man now living in Cloghan, McDonagh made progress before being eliminated.
