Heartfelt tributes have been paid to the late Ashling Murphy on the 4th anniversary of her passing.
In January 2022, The 23-year-old primary school teacher's life was tragically cut short when she was murdered by Jozef Puška while out for an evening run in Tullamore.
Ashling's partner Ryan Casey took to social media, writing a touching message on X which read: "One of the hardest things we all have to do in life is to try and turn the page to the next chapter, knowing that someone who meant so much to you won’t be in it."
He added: "You made me the man that I am today and you will always be my moral compass! Rest in Peace Ash."
A special anniversary mass for Ashling took place on Sunday morning in St.Brigid's Church in Mountbolus. There's set to be further tributes on Monday with a large crowd expected for a commemorative walk in remembrance of Ashling.
Participants of the walk will start at Digby Bridge Carpark in Capincurr at 3pm and finish at Ashling’s Memorial Shrine on the Grand Canal, Tullamore.

The walk which was organised by the Ashling Murphy Memorial Fund gives locals the opportunity to celebrate Ashling's life and the lasting impact she had on so many people.
Since her passing, the memorial fund has raised thousands for causes which Ashling was passionate about. This has benefitted various initiatives around Tullamore and Offaly as a whole including sports clubs and musical societies.
The memorial fund also paid tribute to Ashling through a poignant Facebook post which read: "Today we remember our beloved Ashling, on her 4th anniversary, who is so dearly missed each and every day, especially by her heartbroken family and wide circle of friends."
It continued: "Another year has passed without you, but you remain forever close in our hearts."
