Offaly players shine at Irish Pool ranking event in Ballinasloe

THIS past weekend, Ballinasloe played host to a fantastic Irish Pool Ranking event, showcasing top talent from across the country. It was an especially proud moment for Offaly, with several players delivering outstanding performances.
Junior U12 Tournament The U12 competition was a highlight, featuring two Offaly juniors in the final. Conor Cahill emerged victorious, claiming the title, while Jack Foy put in a strong performance as runner-up. Seeing two Offaly players dominate the final was a great boost for junior development in the county.
U18 Tournament In the U18 category, Adam Wynne produced a fantastic performance, reaching the quarter-finals and continuing to show great promise for the future.
Mens' Main Event In the men’s category, David Hogan impressed by reaching the quarter-finals, demonstrating skill and consistency throughout the tournament. Meanwhile, Patrick O’Leary and Alan Kelly both advanced to the last 32, further underlining Offaly’s growing presence in the national pool scene.
Plate Events The Plate competitions also brought success for Offaly players. Sean Wynne delivered a fantastic performance to win the Men’s Plate Event, while Mary Duffy claimed victory in the Ladies Plate Event, showcasing her determination and skill.
Ladies Main Event In the Ladies main event, Jannette Jackson reached the quarter-finals, adding another strong result to Offaly’s tally for the weekend.
Cue Academy Pool Leagues – January Update
The Cue Academy Pool Leagues are currently up and running for January, with almost 50 players taking part. It’s shaping up to be an exciting month of competitive action and great matches for all involved.
