Major development plans in the works for St Brendan's Park in Birr
Major development plans are in the works for St Brendan's Park in Birr with a decision on a planning application to Offaly County Council due in late February.
Birr GAA Club has sought permission for a series of works that will enhance the facilities at the ground.
The application to the local authority is seeking to demolish an existing shop with part demolition of existing viewing terrace.
The club is then seeking permission for the construction of a new two-storey club building containing a shop, gym, changing rooms, a common room, kitchen and toilets to the northern end of the existing playing pitch.
A decision is due on February 25.
