Pupils enjoying Friendship Week at Gaelscoil na Laochra in Birr.

BAKING, games, art and bracelet making were some of the activities undertaken during Gaelscoil na Laochra's Friendship Week in February.

The busy week focused on developing and fostering positive relationships throughout the school. Friendship Buddies or "Cairde Cineálta" helped the younger pupils with all the activities.

The pupils engaged in playground games and board games, baking, collaborative art and finally friendship bracelets.

The week of friendship had a hugely positive outcome on all the pupils. The week ties in with initiatives such as school wellbeing, anti-bullying and the Stay Safe Programme.

Next up for the school is "Féile na nGael" where the school will have a programme of events in the lead up to St Patrick's Day and it will hold its Spring open evening on March 19th from 5pm-7pm.

Check the school's social media pages for further information.
