Plans have been unveiled for the development of a new astro turf pitch at a secondary school in Offaly.
The proposed development was revealed as part of a new planning application submitted to Offaly County Council by the Board of Management of Killina Secondary School in Rahan on March 18.
The plans consist of the construction of a new Astro Turf Pitch and associated floodlighting to west of existing school building and all associated site development works.
The application also shows that the proposed astro turf will be 90m x 55m in measurement.

Several documents have been submitted as part of the pending application including a site notice, site layout plan, site location map, newspaper notice and an agent letter of consent.
The planning application details confirm that no Integrated Pollution Control (IPC) license or waste license is required for the project which is not deemed a protected structure.
The planning application is currently at the pre-validation stage while consultation on the proposed works takes place.
Any submissions or observations on the proposed development must be submitted by April 21 with the final decision on the planning application due on May 12.
