Offaly Volunteer Centre is located in O'Connor Square in Tullamore
Offaly Volunteer Centre had its annual general meting last week.
Established by a board of Volunteers in 2020, Offaly Volunteer Centre has grown with steady progress. With over 1200 volunteers registered throughout the county, Offaly Volunteer Centre supports organisations to deliver a comprehensive service to their communities.
It was a bittersweet AGM as the final three members of the original voluntary Board of Directors stepped down having served their five-year tenure.
However, they are passing the baton on to an exceptional newly elected Board of Directors, some of whom have already cut their teeth on the Board.
With representatives from all over the county, the incoming Chairperson is renowned community activist and former member of Offaly County Council, Birr native Seán O Cearbhaill,(John Carroll), supported by vice-chairperson, Patricia Nunan of Killeigh, Treasurer is Tim McMahon of Clara and Board members taking up roles in the HR, Governance and Finance committees are; Joshua Connon, Ferbane; Audrey Rossa of Edenderry; Donna Quinn, Kilcormac; Mary Sherwin and Paula Mulvey of Tullamore.
