Running is a big part of Nicole’s regular training schedule and when she learned of the Mezza Maratona d’Italia – Enzo Ferrari Memorial Half Marathon, she decided to register.

The route, which starts at the famous Ferrari Museum in Maranello, finished at Modena, and took in the famous Ferrari F1 test track at Fiorano en route.

Nicole’s sister Natasha is a personal trainer and she helps Nicole with her all important preparation for motor racing. Happily, the event interested her too and the Roscrea sisters signed up and decided to do the event

"That was so much fun. The event was fantastic and so well run. People were lining the streets cheering us on and to run the Fiorano track was such an experience," Nicole said after the race.

"Big thanks to Natasha for helping me with prep, motivation and even running with me, right up to near the end when she sprinted away! We have already agreed to do it again next year!"
